Quincy Rec Center
The City of Quincy Recreation Department is the Municipal Department responsible for the employment of leadership to organize and conduct outdoor or indoor leisure activities that are usually on or in facilities under the City’s ownership. The Quincy Recreation Department promotes and organizes citywide programs, activities and events for Quincy residents, often collaborating with other recreation providers. The Quincy Recreation Department also serves as a provider of recreation materials for the benefit of Quincy residents and organizations.
GOALS
• The Quincy Recreation Department is committed to providing year round opportunities for safe, comprehensive, quality recreation experiences through programs, services and facilities for the enjoyment of Quincy residents. Such opportunities will contribute in a meaningful way to the quality of life in our community.
• Quincy Recreation programs will be supervised and administered by professional, well trained, and qualified individuals who encourage participation, teach new skills, maintain resources, and assure the safety and enjoyment of each participant.
• Leisure activities in the Quincy Recreation Department will help promote the physical health and social development of participants through exposure to high ideals and standards of fair play.
• Program opportunities will provide a wide range of choice by both participant ability and program offerings. Quincy residents shall be involved in the planning and development of their recreational opportunities. These activities will be consistent with the needs, interests and abilities of all residents without discrimination.
• Leisure activities will be offered for families and individuals and shall be flexible in scheduling, mindful of our various neighborhoods, and considerate of the financial resources of our citizens.
• Activities will be planned to fully utilize our available community resources and facilities. The Quincy Recreation Department seeks cooperation between existing city agencies, private agencies and voluntary providers that also offer similar services to Quincy residents.
Gavin House, Quincy
The Gavin Foundation is a multi-service agency providing comprehensive, community- based substance abuse education, prevention and treatment. Gavin Foundation works from a deep commitment to the community, including the widespread community of individuals and families in recovery. In all areas, Gavin Foundation builds recovery by supporting relationships among individuals, within families and with communities. The Foundation offers independent programs — residential, outpatient, 12-step study, recidivism prevention, recovery centers and parolee re-entry– and collaborative programs, such as a recovery high school. Its mission is to create and maintain effective prevention and treatment programs for vulnerable populations, building innovative approaches built on fundamental principles and strong, productive alliances with the broader community.
Father Bill’s & MainSpring
Father Bill’s & Main Spring provides hope to individuals and families facing a housing crisis on the South Shore and across Southern Massachusetts.

Charities MUST be a 501(c)(3) non-profit OR an organization that is able to collect tax-deductible donations to participate. Winning charities will also be required to sign a photo release form. When thinking about nominations, we encourage you to consider the following factors:
- Demonstrated Need
- Number of People Served
- Community Impact of the Organization
*Provide as much detail as possible about your nominee in order to help Trust 1 Services select the best possible candidates*

Team IMPACT connects children battling serious or chronic illnesses with college athletic teams, forming lifelong bonds and life-changing outcomes. Through our program, a child battling illness becomes an official member of a college athletic team for two years, attending practices, games, team dinners and more—where they serve not only as teammates, but as inspiration.

Milton Youth Cheer is an exciting way to provide the youth of Milton an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of cheerleading and teamwork. We strive to teach the young athletes how to work together towards a common goal, support each other through teamwork and camaraderie, and build confidence and strength. We focus on building character, self-confidence, teaching responsibility, athletic skills, and positivity in a competitive environment while gaining a strong sense of community. Our cheerleaders learn that time, effort, physical training, attendance and participation in practice makes the team strong and well-prepared. Mastering the skills required to succeed instills pride, self-respect, the will to win, and the courage to accept defeat when necessary. All this occurs with a constant emphasis on sportsmanship.
